Building Resilient Communities
DMSE is pleased to announce that we are officially approved by the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development (DNRED) as a FireSmart New Brunswick Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan (CWRP) contractor.
Following a comprehensive review of our organization’s qualifications and technical capabilities, DMSE has been added to the official list of approved CWRP contractors in New Brunswick.
This approval positions DMSE to support municipalities and communities across the province in strengthening wildfire preparedness, risk reduction, and long-term community resiliency.
Our Wildfire Resiliency Services
Wildfire risk continues to increase across New Brunswick due to changing climate conditions, periods of drought, and expanding development within and around the wildland-urban interface (WUI). Communities are facing growing pressure to proactively understand wildfire hazards, identify vulnerabilities, and implement practical measures to reduce risk.
DMSE brings together surveying, engineering, GIS, and wildfire planning expertise to help communities assess and mitigate wildland fire risk while supporting FireSmart principles and provincial resiliency objectives.
DMSE can support communities and municipalities with:
Community Wildfire Risk Assessments and GIS Mapping
FireSmart Planning and Mitigation Strategies
Fire Behaviour Analysis
Emergency Access and Evacuation Analysis
Water Supply and Fire Protection Infrastructure Planning
Engineering, Surveying, and Implementation Support
Funding Application and Project Development Support
