We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineering Technologist you will be supporting the design, drafting, and execution of civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will assist in developing engineering drawings, preparing reports, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and design layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other relevant software.
Assist in the design and drafting of municipal infrastructure, land development, and site servicing projects.
Conduct field surveys, data collection, and construction site inspections to support engineering work.
Compile technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates under the guidance of engineers.
Coordinate with engineers, planners, surveyors, and contractors to support project execution.
Ensure that all designs adhere to applicable standards, codes, and municipal/regulatory requirements.
Assist in tender preparation, quantity take-offs and contract documentation.
Track project progress and support documentation for quality control and regulatory submissions.
Maintain organized project files and support project closeout processes.
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience in Civil design and drafting.
Knowledge of site development, grading, drainage, and utility design.
Proficient in Civil Engineering softwares (AutoCad, Civil 3D, Google Softwares).
Excellent leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving abilities.
